Our minimum delivery is typically one truckload, which is approximately 10-18 cubic yards depending on the material type. For smaller quantities, delivery may not be cost-effective—but give us a call and we’ll help you find the best solution for your project.
Most gravel driveways benefit from light maintenance every 6 to 12 months. This includes raking to redistribute displaced stones, filling in potholes or low spots, and adding fresh gravel as needed to maintain proper depth. Driveways with heavy traffic or steep grades may need attention more frequently.
We don’t recommend it. Regular topsoil compacts differently than gravel and turns to mud when wet—which usually makes the problem worse. Instead, use crushed gravel or road base material that compacts firmly and provides proper drainage.
Start with proper installation—a compacted base layer, 4-6 inches of material depth, and edging or borders to contain the gravel. Use angular crushed stone rather than round pea gravel, since angular pieces lock together better. Avoid sharp turns and sudden braking, and rake displaced stones back into place regularly.
It’s best to wait for dry weather. Wet conditions prevent proper compaction and can cause new material to shift or wash away before it settles. For best results, wait for at least 24-48 hours of dry weather before and after making repairs.
